TravelMapStories is designed as a guide and journal rather than a marketplace. The purpose of the site is to make destinations easier and more interesting to explore through writing, routes and visual context.
Editorial independence also means that the site can keep a consistent voice instead of turning every page into the same commercial template.

The most memorable part of a journey is not always the destination itself. Sometimes it is the transition between two places, the wrong turn that becomes a useful discovery, or the hour when a familiar city becomes quiet.
That is the space TravelMapStories is interested in documenting.
